It's up to you. Pioneer's are known as good players, Denon's are good too, but a little buggier. It depends if you want a spinning platter or not. The spinning platter is like a TT, and if you like that feel, you might like the Denon's, however the platters aren't quite as good as say a Technics 1210's. In that case, TTs and Serato or Torque is the way to go. If you just want to spin CDs, i'de say Pioneers, they are the best and you don't need spinning platters to play CDs, considering it's something you put inside the player rather than on top, like you do with vinyl/TTs.

Thanks alot, i think im going to get the pioneers, they are a bit more expensive here, but if the dennons are buggy then ill put out the extra money.

Plusm if you ever get to play out in a bar/club, you can guarantee that they will have Pioneers installed.

Yeah I mean Pioneers have some problems too, but i've heard more reports of problems with Denon's, esp because they have a spinning platter that has a tendency to slow down or speed up...loose pitch. CD players are better when they don't have spinning platters IMO.

I used the 5000's this past Tuesday and hope that I never have to use them again. Probably the worst cd players I have ever come across. I simply can't stand the spinning platter and I think that the heavy bass was also interrupting it from spinning properly. To each their own, but I now firmly believe that Pioneers are a standard in clubs for a reason.
