is it any good? I mean I really considered buying it...since I'll be buying a laptop soon...and if you can send two channels from ableton to the ch1 and 2 I'd be totally all for it...using an external mixer is much more flexible...and the USB way would be great... :-9
any thoughts? experiences?
Thanks. |

| As far as I know it's not a MIDI mixer, so it wouldn't be compatible with Ableton. |

| I don't think that's what he wants to do... it has a 2 stereo channel soundcard in it, so yes, you can route ableton into the two channels and mix using the mixer, just as with any other source. |

Don't need to have midi to mix with ableton. Unless you want to use ableton to it's fullest then get a midi controller. |

I have a decent MIDI controller :p
thing is, I'm considering buying a laptop and I thought this might be a nice multichannel interface...and I prefer a real mixer for mixing in ableton...
At the moment I use my production PC with multichannels out running to the mixers channels...
sorry, that my post wasn't clear enough :p
thanks Ryan, for answering my primary question. :)
if anyone has experiences with it, they'd be greatly appreciated :) |

It was actually my first mixer about 2 1/2 years ago. It's pretty basic but seemed solid enough to me. The USB interfaces "just worked" with no drivers or anything.

I've had the DXM01USB for about 2 years, it's the first mixer i learnt on. I've had it hooked up to play tracks from my computer and it works fine. Obviously it's a BASIC mixer, but for learning i thought it was great!
You'll be able to hook up two channels form your computer and have them come out via the mixer without any problems.
Hell, I'm looking to sell mine (I have a Xone 3D now ;)), so if you want a cheaper price then PM me (it's in MINT condition!). |
