i could, i might. guys it's not hard. it's not really scratching either, it's an effect like what konix said above. you need an efx-500 and any cd deck that can scratch a looped sample (the dn-s1000's for example CANNOT do this). |

Where can I get some of these scratch samples so that I can try and do a Zabielia? :D |
the most common one is the "ahhhh" sound that pretty much every scratch vinyl has. search "scratch sample" in the dj booth and i'm sure there's still a link up. I ended up buying a scratch tool off of beatport though.. look up "peabird - scratch tool 2" |

Nice one cheers.
So I just loop a sample, apply a 1/4 Transform to it and then scratch the sample. I presume that the Transform effect will make it sound like i'm chopping it very fast. |

| To tell you the truth, I actually can't stand scratching unless it's done by turntablists as a way to enhance the music. IMO, it can be distracting, esp if it's over music that really doesn't call for it (trance, progressive etc). Scratching sounds cool in hip hop tracks and in certain tracks like BT's "Fibonnaci Sequence" or "Hip Hop Phenomenon". |

a little bit of james zabiela-style faux-scratching from yours truly :toocool: |
I heard that song on Saturday night, what's it called man. Love it. Scratching is MASSIVE as well. I've absolutely no idea where to start with scratching. |

Yeah but his style is funkier and more electroish. It's not really deep prog...it's party music essentially. |
