| check the samples here for a pretty accurate idea of the music they both mostly play. hardwick combines it with softer/slightly proggy stuff, askew sometimes leans more towards techno. askew is better |

Hardwick is a Gatecrasher legend. He was playing a lot of Discover material last year but expect more of his euphoric and energetic style when you see him. He can also play great warm up/proggy sets. I would also say he was in fact better than Askew maybe not technically but his tune selection is second maybe only to Jon O'Bir right now.
Askew is quite hit and miss. Always plays with a lot of energy and does lean towards the techier side of trance. But when his sets have more of a melodic base like in his Essential Mix then he can be amazing live. Also has a very unique choppy mixing style at least for mixing trance. He could also play a near enough totally Discover led set which for me would be quite boring.
Having both on at a night would be class though. Have a good one |

| hrm. i've always seen him as below average.. with unsatisfying set direction & relatively loose mixing.. to each their own as they say though. i've always found askew far more solid & consistent behind the decks |

He's not wrong though. Circa 2003/2004, Matt was playing awesome music. Then he slowly drifted into the Discover party and playing the same tunes as everyone else, where as previously that's what separated him from all the other jocks. |

No mate, I didn't start clubbing in 2003 so I actually know what I'm talking about here. I've seen Matt Hardwick well over 50+ times so in turn I am well entitled to give my opinion here. So jog on.
