theres something about drum and bass that just seems to bring out the sketchiest people, especially all-ages DNB events

its a mix of like thugs and candy ravers, with a lot of normal people in between

Meh. I could care less what they look like as long as they're into it. And they always are. If I wanted eyecandy, I'd plug my ears and go to TIL.

meh i've been to some pretty in sketchy raves in ottawa but i didnt give a what they wore or looked like (and trust me, there were some FREAKS) but everyone was just givin the dance floor hell all throughout the night and that vibe (dnb/hardstyle/jungle) is different in my opinion from trance/house events - so again who cares what ppl are wearing like cosmic_fur said, they can look like vampires yet still rock it like they always do

please explain.....

yeah most of the people are cool/normal/nice at dnb, but the crowd overall is more 'rough' if you will, if you bump into someone at a house event you say sorry, they say thats ok, and then you go on

if the same thing happens at dnb, half the time you'll get some guy trying to act gangster and give you some dumbass attitude, threatening to kick your ass

just my opinion, but from my experiences, dnb does attract a sketchier/rougher crowd

most of the events i have been to were big theory or destiny events, havent been to n e of the dnb at footwork or n e thing
E2EK1EL
no idea who's coming so far ;)

I hate all-ages events; Promoters should make all EDM events 19+, no exceptions

As much as I don't enjoy all age events now....I am just way to old for it....some of the best parties I've been to are all age events....the energy and PLUR that comes from the young crowd is unbelievable.

if or when? There's a big difference between what you are predisposed to think will happen and what will actually happen.

I've been to dnb events big and small, and never had a problem with anybody - if I bump into someone, I just look at them, smile, apologize, and I get the exact same response as I would at any other event (i.e. "no problem man").

I too thought that all these kids were gangsta and , but I went regardless cause I liked the music too much. It was only after I started going regularly that I realized that the Jungle (or dnb) crowds and the Hip-Hop crowds are totally different.

I think the key is how you act towards others, not how the others are. If you show respect, there's now ay they can pick a beef with you.

P.S. DNB events at FootWork are even better than at Docks - the atmosphere is much more intimate, everyone chills and chats with everybody, and the club rinses it out like no other.

There is a concert in the Koolhaus on the same day as Freedom, so I don't know how that's going to work out
