Question about genres...

Totally an opinion thing here...

If you were going to try to name the genre of music that artists like Daft Punk, The Chemical Bros, Moby, etc... would fit in to, what would you call it?

I'll go with the most generic of all tags: Electronica

Chem Bros. could easily be grouped with big beat like Prodigy.

I'd have to agree, especially the stuff they made back in the mid to late 90's... but the cool thing about these artists is that they make different types of tracks... you can listen to Daft Punk's "Around the World" and call it house, you can't call "Daft Punk" house as a whole. Same as Crystal Meth... "Get Busy Child" could make a strong case for Electo or Nu-Skool Breaks but you can't say that about the artist as a whole.

Another example of an artist that defies genrization as a whole but still makes definable tracks is BT.

Yap.

Electronica

I find a lot of the big bands in EDM seem to garner this label. And, rightfully so, as they cross too many genres to be any one.

I think Electronica is a good umbrella term.
