If you would have read the article, you would have found that the soldiers were INVESTIGATING rock throwing. The boy also mentioned his beating from a week prior and how he feared another.

quote:
The youth, Hindawi Qawarik, told Ynet that at about 12:30 pm Wednesday, he and his friends were leaving school when they noticed a Border Guard jeep not far from them.

"I told my friends that if we pass near them, they'll hit us like they did a few weeks ago," he said.

The policemen approached the youths and questioned them regarding a stone-throwing incident that took place earlier. They then decided to detain three of the teens for further questioning.

Hindawi was one of those three. "I pretended not to hear them and kept walking, because I could still remember the beating I got last week. But one cop chased me. When I saw that he was after me I halted. He dragged me back to the direction of the jeep, and when we got there he pushed me and pinned me to the wall, so that no one will be able to see what they were doing to me."

Yeah, this is real justice:

quote:
"I kept screaming: I haven't done anything, you can check my ID." Hindawi said that one of the policemen tried to persuade the others to stop, "but they just ignored him and kept on hitting me."

According to the teen, one of the policemen also took books out of his school bag and tore some of them apart. Then they released him, not before "a few more slaps and punches." Hindawi's account has been verified by an eyewitness.

Sounds like they just wanted to invoke violence, regardless if it was the people who were throwing rocks or not.

Before you spew out your ignorance, perhaps you should look at this a little more objectively. But then again, you probably have a love Israel and hate the rest complex going on.

I'm as guilty as Jake, because I said I would slap the kid, too. But for the record, you aren't exactly looking at this objectively either. It isn't entirely improbable that this kid was throwing rocks at the IDF.

I realize that that type of behaviour happens all the time, but there is NO EVIDENCE in this article that those kids did anything of the sort. And having an eye witness to confirm the violence caused to these children does not help the situation for the police.

I've been properly scolded.

However, this kid was one of three that was held for questioning. The Israelis did have some interest in further questioning of him. At least he was not questioned as our own President Bush would let the CIA question him.

Guys I wouldn't trust an article from a media source as far as I could throw it.

Depending on who wrote the article the kid could be doing anything from sitting down having tea, minding his own business to being right out there throwing cinder blocks.

All I'm saying is, be mindful of the source.

...and no, I don't know the source for which this particular article was written however it's a common trap to believe news sources as trustworthy.

I think most of us regulars have been caught up in it at one time or another... ;)

Couldn't agree more!

The Israeli investigation in ongoing and I have not found a source with border guard's side of the story, yet. All I can find at the moment is that they held this kid and two others for questioning (having some probable cause).

Oh okay. So blowing up themselves or others is totally justified then, right? Why don't you read up on gay culture and the slew of torture, abuse, and murders that follow throughout history and still today. Then try to find me ONE f@g that blew himself up. Just one. Better yet, try to find one Jew who blew his or herself up during the holocaust.

Being forced out of one's homeland is destructive and I can't argue against that. But blowing yourself up or others in protest just shows that you were a low-life self-destructive ass with no purpose to begin with.

I'm sorry but I must have missed where these kids blew themselves up. We are not discussing suicide bombers, we are discussing a group of children that were beaten for no apparent reason. Reading comprehension, my friend. And what the does being homosexual have to do with anything? Do you think you are better than them? I think you forget that everyone is a HUMAN BEING and doesn't deserve to be treated like this, regardless of who they are.

Do you honestly think that Jews and gays are the only ones that have been treated poorly throughout history?

Alright, so you must believe that both the witness and the children were lying. What is the point of reading any news if they can't be trusted? It's all a conspiracy...OMG MY HEAD IS SPINNINGINGINGING!

I gave no option towards the article at all.
It was a generalized statement regarding media. :)
