I caught a little more than 2 hours of Armin, and he absolutelty leveled Twilo. His set had everything a set is supposed to have: great track selection, perfect transitions, energy galore, and a flow and direction that took the crowd on the ride we all needed to close out a week of madness. No one was standing still, everyone goin off, the vibe was just amazing. And let's just say Armin stayed true to trance, with lots of energy and no prog at all. :D
Then came Markus, and with Armin setting such a high standard with an upbeat fast-paced set I knew Markus was gonna bang it out properly, and he did. No fluff, playing harder than I ever remember hearing him play. Nothing slow at all until around 1 1/2 hours in, and that was just a couple of songs to let everyone take a breather. While Armin took the cake, Markus also dropped a great set.
Finally Rank 1 (Piet) came on around 6, and started really techy and hard but kinda slower tempo stuff. Yet he knew what he was doing because by the third or fourth song the crowd really started getting into it and then an all-out frenzy ensued. Hard nasty closing set up until 7:30 when I left. A perfect closer for this night and great choice to do so. Happy that after the prior fiasco, Piet finally got to experience and play at a proper Miami party. |
Perfect description of the evening. I didnt stick around for Rank1 much. Listened to the first few tracks but wasn't feeling it probably due to sheer exhaustion. I LOVED Armin and Markus and liked Dekay a lot too (which i was apprehensive about due to all the negative talk about last year's set). I road the wave all the way through Armin and Markus and never really stopped. Heard several classics out of both guys and some newer stuff from their recent shows, but also a lot of brand new material. I really liked Markus' heavier tracks for sure but I can see where a lot of people wouldnt. All-in-all my favorite nite of the whole trip for sure. Will post my pics later on! |

| I'd like to also add, despite the huge crowd, neither the bathrooms or the bar were hard to reach at any point. I was pounding waters like a madman all night and was able to grab more at any point. Truly clutch in making it a night to remember. Hydration is your friend! |

I couldve taken more photos, But they would've all been the same type photos from the same spot or the other side. Besides, I didnt go down cause I was afraid they wouldnt let me back up there, So I stayed put and took took photos while up there. :) |

I am sure you could have gotten back up there :rolleyes:
You The best spot in the house.. I have been in that spot before( in other clubs) and work with the cams settings/lighting to get good shots of the Dj's.. ;) That is all I am saying |
