What I'm saying is that there has been parties, recently, with local djs playing acid and techy techy sounds. You should've heard the music at the Freaks party in the Old Port with Jacob London, Lebaron, The Autist and Pfreud... They were going crazzyyy with those sounds. I've also heard Mossa lay down some insanely techy stuff which absolutely rocks the spot. I don't know which promoters you've been speaking to and which parties you've been attending, but I don't think most of them are completely out of touch with the scene. Sure, some probably are, but most (good ones anyways) have a pretty good understanding of what people want and what goes down well in this city.
And as for taking the risk, you'll find the more parties you rock, the more people you get down with your sound the less risk they'll need to take. The DJ is as big of a promoter as anyone and if they don't think you can bring a crowd to their specific venue, they won't take the risk, it's business. This is why it makes so much sense you guys are throwing your own party to get your own crowd. But please don't make the mistake in thinking you are the only ones who played/playing these types of records here in Montreal.
Also, tech=/=tek? Is there a difference? |

I've yet to hear one mtl acid/tek DJ let alone an mtl acid/tek DJ that pushes for the genre, I wish I knew many so I can learn from their examples :)
Now Allied, I know you like to speak your ego on forums and prove people wrong all the time, but I'd rather you PMd me if you want to argue like you always do, that way I can choose not to read it. I dont want pollution on this thread, if it makes you feel better tell yourself you're right ;) |

I have a little story for you it goes like this
Let me tell you what really bothers me mayn, lemme tell you what really s with me, people be hatin, can you dig it? Essentially you got three types of people, you got people that are about thier money you know like: hustlas pimps playas that keep thier mind focused on the game you know establishing wealth and manipulating. Then you got group number two are your 9-5 motha fukas your basic UPS workin peepz 3 kids a wife and thats cool if thats your thing. But what s with me, what really s with me is group number 3 and these are the people that never get involved in the game sitting on the sidelines muchin on popcorn and commentating on hating, in spectators.
You know things been all twisted around people be scared to be who they really is we got perpatrators posing as pimps, fraudlant mothafukas proped up as playas.
Now i could say i just made all that up and call my self orginal, the question is would anyone care??
