yupppp
i think that goes for pretty much everyone
i saw them last year when they were touring for their newest CD and every time they played an older song (fa fa, barrel of a gun, center of attention) the crowd went NUTS
and not so much for the newer ones :/ |
Center of Attention is great. I've seen them twice now and I still haven't heard Two Points for Honesty :( |

lol fail, iirc they played it when i saw them
lol and there were a few songs...augh
either way and....barrel of a gun mbbe? both off of lost and gone forever
anyways, i listened to those ALLLLL the time and i learned the harmonies that the bassist sings
so at the show i was belting those out and everyone around me was giving weird looks :p |

Think this thread has just turned into "What Rock Music Do You Listen To?" But eh, that's okay. Hehe.
+1 to Sneaker Pimps. Was thinking of mentioning 6 Underground or Spin Spin Sugar but decided not to for some reason.
So for some more good bands:
White Zombie
The Doors are amazing as someone mentioned.
Tom Petty
Rogue Wave (good indie band that opened for the Shins when I saw them in 2004.. bought their CD for 8 bucks at that show)
Lou Reed's solo career..
Velvet Underground
Jefferson Airplane is always fun.
The Descendents if you like a more punk-ish sound..
Bad Religion
Dave Brubeck Quartet
CSNY
Blues Traveler
...and if you like folk/traditional artists there's:
Bob Dylan
Joan Baez
The Chieftains
The Dubliners (trad. Irish ftw!)
Arlo Guthrie tells a mad story with his songs..
Kay.. I'm having way too much fun with this thread. :haha: |

i'll have to check more of their stuff out..
man i've been slowly fading away from the indie scene.. don't know of any new or good older bands cept like... belle & sebastian.. annnd umm yeah.. that's it. would say death cab but they're in the mainstream now (not that that's a bad thing). got anything i should look out for? |
