REVIEW: Miami Shmiami @ Footwork, Saturday March 24

I had a great time at Footwork on Saturday, so great that we chased it with the zone....under protest...haha.

I arrived 30 minutes before Jon Jon wrapped up and he and Button we on fire. I notice Jeff played the FT theme again and everyone went nuts...love that tune. Great job guys.

My only negative was the number and length of breaks by Matt, but just not my style. Tracke selection was good tho.

Great to see everyone!

People already posted their reviews in the roll call thread... But good work anyway!

Thanks man, appreciate it!

Yeah, turn out was fantastic.... very happy with it. Love Footwork as a venue, very comfy - the sound in there was greatly improved from the last time I had been there (it seemed).

Okay, and can someone confirm - either Julian or Ricky from Trailer Park Boys was there?? Jon seemed confident it was one of the two. lol.

RANDOM.

Great time, and great music, not that full, but just the right amount of space to get your groove on!

was 1st one in the doors.. hilarious having all of footwork to myself w/ le jon jon providing tunes.. even took a chair and sat down in the middle of the dancefloor (wish i had a pic of that!)

jon & jeff were excellent - really had the place going off..
sean & matt spun very proggressive buildup stuff.. nice music but kinda failed to capture the crowd the same way..

thanks to jon & sean for free drinks.. cheap drinks made for a fun night..

will try to get some pics up tonight..

I unfortunatley had to take off shortly after Jeff's set, but whomever was next (Sean, I think) seemed to pick up right where Jeff left off, and certainly didn't waste any time getting into his set. I think his 2nd or 3rd tune was Groove Armada's "Get Down" (Henrick Schwarz Remix), and the crowd was lovin' it. Definitely not prog buildup stuff, but perhaps he switched it up after I left...

Good times. I heard nothing but good things from those who stayed later. Well done boys.

And yet you still managed to breakdown my heart's defenses.

*tear*

Edit: I had a really fun night, and loved playing with Matt, Jon and Jeff. Maybe a little less MC Coleridge action next time though... ahahahahhahah
