You're the total idiot!

I guess you didn't realize it is regularly referred to as the Adobe Suite CS2 etc

HAHAH not really. in the tech world they actually call the product by name. even if it is the Creative Suite 2. or 3 or 4. why? Because they have used a naming convention that appends CSx to their products. Photoshop CSx etc. always has been this way. always will be.

also when people refer to Adobe Creative Suite X they leave off adobe and call it Creative Suite X. all the web and graphics people i have ever known never refer to Adobe Creative Suite as CSx. they call it Creative Suite X.

I had a job interview last week or so ( and I'm starting work tomorrow ) and the boss refered to what we are talking about " oh we are all up to date so you'll be working with CS2"

also you realize that since they started the whole CS thingy the suite is more streamlined between applications making it easier to switch and share documents down the pre-press chain.

You say you have never heard it well me on the other hand I have heard it a lot .... but if I have to go into detail I will say the specific softwares name

:p

ps: it hasn't always been that way ... they only started when version 8 was launched for psp and the suite was named CS

well i guess maybe its a stateside thing. i know a bunch of gfx design guys and they all refer to it the way i said earlier. my buddy who works for a printer and gfx design company says they all say the way i said. i dunno. its probably a regional thing. who knows. either way i act all confused when people refer to programs as "adobe". purposely so they get the point that "adobe" is not a program.

and yeah they have made interoperability between the apps MUCH MUCH better. its pretty much seamless now. which is something that is very nice. :)

and with the naming convention thing yeah i am aware of when it started. it was a big thing when they changed. i do and i dont like the naming convention. i understand its to coincide with the seamless integration and cohesiveness of the apps but it can be confusing at times if you have people who arent fully briefed in the names of the software.
