Any thoughts on these guys? I've done a search and haven't come up with anything, so can anyone offer any advice or any recommendations?

Cheers, thnx.

I've always wondered... what are the usual methods for securing speakers to stands like this? I have Alesis M1 MK2 Actives and I don't to have to put screw holes in them or anything... at the same time I don't want them to fall off my desk :/

i need some speaker stands too, but i'm sure as hell not gonna pay over 100€ for them. i can't understand how they're so god damn expensive! :nervous:
i also don't want to drill holes in my precious speakers. :nervous:

Use non-skid rubber pads that you can buy to put in cabinets, on your car dash, etc.

I had a set of speakers sitting on top of a larger set of speakers which would fall off due to the vibration. This fixed my problem.

your monitors should just sit comfortably on the stands they shouldnt have to be screwed in or anything. The weight of monitors alone will secure them...also most stands have adjustable pegs on the base and are sometimes bottom heavy.

SpawnMaster I have some to sell. They are adjustable and fit up to an 8'' Monitor, like a KRK RP8 or M-Audio BX8. PM me if interested.

I just bought those 2 days ago. Waiting for them to come in, probably next week. most important is the size of the base for the speaker to stand on. And the foot (spikes are good :), the less contact with the floor is made the better - this reduces the chance of resonating elements).

These stands I bought can be filled with sand (which is probably one of the best materials to reduce resonance).

These are not too expensive, but a bit narrow on top. The alternative might be to use some Auralex Mopad. different (bookshelf positioning)but good stuff

Pretty sturdy. Has a hole in the back of the middle pole to hide the cables. For the pair I paid 85 bucks.
