Haha...i've totally done that...
Was listening to just some random track in winamp i think and i sat there thinking "Come on correct it whoever's mixing!" But then i realized...it's a single mp3 and it just sounds like that...LOL. |

Right now with my 800s, I'm pitch-bending every 5-10 seconds during a transition, to keep the tracks in line. How much more time will 0.02 pitch control buy me? |
WHAT???? your clearly not that good at beatmatching yet u should be able to do mixes of a minute + on the 800's |

Yeah don't blame the equipment.
.05% is MORE than enough.

| i got big pants |
x2
coming from a .1 pitch, which was very do-able...the .05 is great. i used to have a denon 1000...then upped to a cdj800. when im spot on...dont need to touch the pitch. when its off a bit when i have about 10 secs to beatmatch, i'll ride it...but it holds its pitch perfectly once its there. minor corrections here and there...but isnt that everything also?
i wonder if they come out with a smaller pitch incriment...like .0005
will everybody say that .002 isnt good enough? its almost like an endless debate which is better when they both get the job done perfectly. |

| They'll have to make the pitch sliders about twice as long for that to be effective :) |

Not necessarily, just pack the sensors more densely - on a CDJ1000 on 0.02% mode it's quite possible to nudge the slider a small amount without making any difference and then it'll change by 0.04% at once... if they can fill in the gaps and make it a bit smoother then I think they're onto a winner. |

I don't think you can physically move it any more precisely... nor do you really need to!

All right, it's more like every 15-20 seconds I'm adjusting. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I always think 's gonna fall apart if I don't keep an eye on the mix like a hawk. Usually when I'm beatmatching I satisfy two requirements: split ear cueing accuracy, as well as putting main mix in both ear cups with cue in left ear, making sure I'm hearing one downbeat.
It'd be interesting to get on someone's 1000's and see if I feel any differently. |

| I'd rather upgrade my mixer than upgrade to 1000s from my 800s. No beatmatching issues for me with them. |
