Banksy - International Artist Exposed!

Ok I saw this over at another forum and I had my own reply to it which I'll quote below.

If you got a minute, give the whole site a read as it does a decent job trying to sling some propaganda at you.

As all things internet, take it with a grain of salt because to me it sounds like one angry reporter who did not land an interview with Banksy, so he set out to expose him!

Article Here!

My Response from the other forum
quote:

So after reading the article in full, it just leads me to believe that some people have way too much time on their hands, let alone vested interest in someone elses lives/artwork.

That article did nothing for me, i still appreciate his work and wish to NOT care about the stipulations one biased article/company/photographer has against him. To me it just sounds like propaganda from a pissed off reporter that bansky refused to give an interview and let them photograph him. So he went on a witch hunt to uncover what he thinks is the truth.

Sites like these, imho, make it hard for the general mass to believe because someone published these findings on the internet. This does not legitamize the points he made because it's on public space. This is one persons point of view in DEALING with banksy, dealing with him for a reason or personal agenda. Let the man do what he does, if he doesn't want to be photographed then so be it, choose your interest elsewhere if the artist is not willing to speak with you.

People need to stop with the witch hunting and let him leave the legacy he chooses to leave. The problem is, people are paid to find out this information when in fact as an artist he's trying to portray his art without being paid (even if he is selling books and prints of his work). Some people like to make money purely from art and not from media/fame.

Just my perspective on the article. In my mind, banksy is still a great artist painting some controversial yet politically correct ideologies - statements he makes with his artwork and not words.

It shocks me that someone is so sad to actually make a site about exposing his identity.

Good post nyce this guy blatently dislikes him and obviously has dicussed some business with Banksy which hasn't worked out. It appears this guy has made it into a personal crusade.

Your response is good, but honestly, I couldn't even read the article because that website is laid out in such fashion.

I could give all about what those idiots have to say - Banksy is an artist, most artists are totaly s - but I still like to look at what he does, so I don't care.

:)
