with a lot of these types of issues, the principle of "white man can't call a black man a ****** even if a black man can" comes into play. |
no..
that would be equivalant to can a straight man call a gay one a ******/queer |

you missed my point. I'll rephrase - with the issue you were talking about, what goes one way, doesn't go the other. |

Perez Hilton is just yet another celebrity gossip columnist, except he blogs it instead of writing for the tabloids. I'm pretty sure that's not his real name.
As for outing gays, free speech is free speech, but I think he must have picked up one of the el cheapo gaydar models from The Source. |

I was outted once...kinda... I have a gay brother-in-law. he and his partner and my gf and I went to a gay bar to have a drink, since he lives in the gay district and we were visiting.
A guy I went to college with saw me there...he has, since college, come out of the closet. He told everyone that he saw me in a gay bar, but "forgot" to mention my girlfriend, if he even saw her. That was ten years ago, and I'm still getting grief from that. In fact, a month ago I was heading to the guv, and I ran into an old high school buddy; he asked me if I was going to a gay bar....I have to admit, it was a burn.:whip: |

wouldnt you say most gay ppl are easy to spot? |
NO

But I do know lots of gay males who, because they are gay, do feel that they have a heightened sense on who is gay and who is not. Regardless of whether they are right or wrong, just because they are gay, I still don't feel it's their right to try and tell people that "so and so" is gay.
I think it's a personal choice, and in all seriousness: who cares? |

actually i just thought more about this and i change my mind...
if gay ppl would like all these right and be considered "normal" then having someone "out" them should not be a big deal.
would you get mad if someone told someone else that you are straight...NO...
i would never "out " someone personally, but above point still stands |
As soon as all companies stop discrimination and treat everyone as equal (having a human rights HR policy is not the same) then "outing" someone can harm someone greatly. Some industries are more open and progressive while others are not and even with a non discrimination policy someones career can be limited due to someone "outing" someone. While society has come a long way there is still a lot of people (including family members), who are not OK with gay people. |

My name is Josh.
I am a male.
I might be a homosexual.
I might not be a homosexual.
There is a divide in me that is also in any human being.
It is a possibility that I may prefer men to women.
It is a possibility that I may prefer women to men.
Why does it matter what you think of me? |

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you think someone is gay...fine whatever. But if you knowingly know someone is gay and they don't want to out theirselves yet, I don't think that's right for you to tell everyone that person is gay. |
thats where i stand. |

Where do bi people fit into this whole thing? According to the kinsey scale everyone is somewhere in between straight and gay.
I personally couldn't give a rat's ass about someone's sexuality and am tired of hearing the term gay used as an insult. Honestly who cares!!! Let everything do their own thing and worry about your own self. |

Well that's ironic. Seeing as you grabbed my balls at Global Village last weekend. |
