I'd love to know where you were headed with this tune. It's everything but house, techno drums, proggy back-synths, trancy breakdown, it sounds a bit "lost" to me. Good flow through the track, but i personally don't like tracks in which their after-breakdown part has no elements of the breakdown... Like you'd put something in the middle that has no connection to the other parts of the track. But this is a bit personal, so don't take it as a bad thing.
Overall, the energy flow is good, yet this track is seeking itself to be something. Technically good, it just isn't my cup of tea. |

Hey mate,
Listening :)
Nice percussion in the beginning.
The sub bass is warm, but I dont like the bass sound in general, might just be my taste.. hum.
You did a really good job with the plucked arpeggio in the background. It is a good sound I really like and it adds depth.
Long breakdown. Doesnt do too much for me, could use some more clear hi frequency action.
Now as the beat comes in again, I have to say again that I think the bass really needs a fix, I am not really an expert in the style you are going for, but it seems somehow wrong to me.
Anyway, I am coming to a positive conclusion here not only because the track has atmosphere and stuff, but also because you did a good job on mixing the elements so far. There could still be a bit more going on in the clarity range but so far I like your attempt to put together a clean mix, it pays off. Good job! |
