| Hey Guys, I was wondering how to split tracks when i record demos of mine. Ive tryed this before but noticed everytime it switch from say track 1 to track 2 there would be a pause before it would switch. How do i put in split tracks for a mix and just have it smoothly go from one track to the other. Thanks |

What are you using to record your mixes?
In my audio editor, I simply insert markers where I want the track splits to be. I can then split the track up by markers and save the tracks off as individual files.
When I burn them, you select no gap between tracks.
It really depends on which software you are using. |

just get yourself a copy of nero, add the mix as a whole track, and the highlight it and go to mix properties, then click on the middle tab at the top of the window that pops up, and drop in your track markers.
Then come out of that window, go back to the main window, and tick the box that says no pause between tracks, sorted!!!
what are you using to check the cd;s also, as i know various pc media players (windows media, winamp) will always pause, even if the cd has been burnt with no pauses, one that doesnt is real player, if it is a mix cd, there will be no pauses
Hope that helps :) |

| make sure you select Disc-At-Once instead of Track-At-Once when burning the CD. |

What Nero version are you using and what specific Nero applet within Nero itself are you using? I've been using the Wave Editor. |

No need for nero. get yourself a copy of wavelab (which rocks for so many reasons), record you set in it as a wav @ 16bit 44.1k (CD standard), either drop markers on the fly or place them after, name them (so they appear on the display when playing back), then open a basic cd project, add the tracks and it will give you the option to edit the pause between tracks (set to zero) and click burn. #hen use wavelabs nice built in label editor.
why go anywhere else....:) |

| or then just make a .cue sheet so you can send that and the .wav or .mp3 to anyone and they can easily burn it for themselves. easiest solution for everyone and no extra software needed. |
