ha...

it was a great night, i had a f%#*ing blast.....the music was superb, consistant all the way through...great job to everyone that spun that night...but what impressed me was that the crowd was so into it too...I talked with Richard for a bit before he went on, about his set at a Ministry of Sound party at WMC, but while the music was awesome, the place there was full of dressed up 'head bobbers' so to speak, with a very small, almost non-existant dance floor which was a shame....so i'm glad that got corrected here on Saturday!!....the vibe through the place was incredible...

oh and i dont know if she's a regular, but i saw her the last time I was there too....the older blonde chick that kept yelling "oh f@#$ing yeah!"
that was equal parts amusing and annoying.....

I'm surprised to see the absolute brutal reviews on TRIBE for this event (more for Dinsdale himself).....

contrasting to say the least.

:conf:
Digit ILL
take into account they (the bad reviews) are coming from tribe.

people wouldn't know what they wanted if it was wrapped up with a bow and handed to them over there.

boycott tribe.
Digit ILL
FYI---its not really tribers i have an issue with, just Alex "im 50" D.

i shouldnt paint all tribers with my big brush.

onward and upward

as well, the two people that are trashing the event are from the same crew...and one of them, although trashing Dinsdale on Tribe,is completely ball washing him on his myspace, even asking him for the names of the tracks he played.
ohhhhh...so many jaded Dj's, going nowehere....

so sound off///lets have it from the people who were there...
review the event yo!!!

i did not notice this..... lol.

good points made on both fronts. :tongue2
Digit ILL
must they poision every forum with the inane chatter of people that actually had to pay to go to the event.

thats what the issue is....

step up and become somebody then u wont have these problems

you'd have to be a stark raving moron and a lover of country music to not know you were hit over the head with solid set after solid set on saturday.

lets leave tribe where it belongs, on the ground in the subway station 4 years ago....thats the last issue i saw.

:P

so...back to the issue at hand...

reviews from dinsdale...

who's got one?

Digit ILL
knowing the man just stepped off the plane from miami, played montreal the night before, and the fact he was playing after the likes of shaw, jain, reid, d'amico and myles....I said to meself at the begginning of the night, if its not stellar from dinsdale, it'd be understood on my end, and i'd chalk it up to miami/montreal/jet lag.

Not being a heavy drinker, *wink, I was well into my eighth drink when he came on, and i'm not completely sure if it was the booze or not, (possibly the puff in the ally too) but I thought right from the start of his set that it was jackin and proper. Im pre-occupied with where to get my next shot most of the time, and for that do not have the most in the know knowledge track wise, but his programming was i'd say a b+ and his mixing a solid B. Throw in the fact that we were hearing new choons, and i give the overall performance a more than solid B+. I dont know what the general complaints were, but i took 280 photos (sign of a good event) and if you look closely, 80% of them have smiling faces and candid moments.....another sign that the music is above average, and we are getting a lesson in proper djing here.

Kudos to you Rich. Dinsdale 2 Toronto 0

Fantastic night all around.

Dinsdale really picked things up after 2. I spoke to several people who were disappointed early on, but I am certain none of them left that way. As the night progressed the beats got dirtier and dirtier.

The crowd definitely made the party. Lots of hands in the air, friendly banter and I saw at least one group hug go down.

I won't forget this night until at least Thursday :P See ya at Decadence!
