Hey Everyone! This is my first posted mix, but I can't say I expect alot of listeners since I don't think many dig the tracks in this...Anyway it was a quick thing I did in the bedroom for a good friend of mine Mike Gillis, who moved to the middle of no where but was pretty much my biggest fan haha

Dont' really play trance anymore so i know some of the tunes are dated, but I think some of the mixes turned out nicely.

I know everything here is pretty bangin, but thats what my buddy is into so thats what I gave him! :tongue2

Would appreciate some feedback very much as I've never had any TA's really listen to my stuff.

Thanks guys

Anyone have a listen by chance??? Just even a few sentences? A "this is the worst thing i've ever heard" would even be fine...

Thanks

Hey Rave,

I took a listen while scooting around campus and it made it much more enjoyable. Thanks.

As for the mix: I think it was a really good set overall.

The flow of the mix went sort of like a mountain with a the set riding to peak in the middle, then mellow out for a finish. The flow wasn't perfect, but it was decent.

The beatmatching was completely solid and there was one transition I found very appealing. I think it was the second to last track you flowed into, and it broke down into hit hats which gave it a sort of cool withdrawn effect, which was really nice.

Too bad you don't like trance.

Haha well hey, Beatflux I really appreciate it. My biggest question to myself was always about flow, so it's good to hear something about that. Any words of advice you could offer me? I find it sort of difficult sometimes to 'flow' with a bunch of big tunes, but I know its possible...

As for trance, I'm just having a super hard time finding new stuff I actually like, what are you guys listening to these days? I meen I know i should probably bring that up elsewhere, but feel free to answer if you'd like~

:tongue2 Believe me, Beatport is the FIRST place I go! It's just I haven't been getting the same vibes from newer tracks as the stuff I started playing~

I dunno, maybe I'm missing something and not looking hard enough :conf:

anyway, super appreciate the listens

Try looking through the classics.

When did you start DJing?
Raveaddict19
Well I'd say about 2 1\2 years ago. I got super lucky and got with a group of guys who got me a couple residencies around town, (mostly top 40 stuff though) but they had subscriptions to awesome label promos so I'd get lots of stuff from them, plus use the nice paychecks to buy lots of wax and new digital tracks.

I have a good chunk of all the classics that I like, and theyre remixes, and I actually really like stuff from 2004 and back, but I just found that especially last year things got stale for me in the genre.

Also, being near detroit, I've really gotten into the whole techno scene and the detroit sound...maybe a bit cliche and even kind of tredny right now, but I really dig it.

Trance is what I started in, and it will always have an important place in my library of music. It's just a shame about the way I feel things are going in the genre thats all~
