A house listener's view of the trance scene...

I'm curious to see what u guys think of the list I put together of my favorite trance artists; coming from the perspective of a househead. Do I have fairly knowledgable viewpoint of your scene or no?

Obviously I know of the big names like Van Buuren, Tiesto, Van Dyke, A&B, Sasha, Schultz, G&D, Christopher Lawrence, Blank & Jones, Sean Tyas, etc.

But here are the ones that I prefer and think are the best your genre has to offer. Because even though I listen to house I can't help but enjoy the sound coming from these artists.

Ferry Corsten - Right of Way/Are You Ready/Its Time
Perry O'Neil - (my personal favorite)South West Saga/Numb/Fuel/Waveforce
Andy Moor - Whiteroom
Marcel Woods - Decade/Advanced
Marco V - Stimulated/C-Del/More than A Life Away
SVD - Deep/Punk'd/Dark Roast
Interstate - I Found U/Remember Me
Jonas Steur - Castamara
4-Strings - Diving/Sunrise/Turn It Around
Estuera - 7 Clouds/Tales from the South/Red Shores
Ron Van Den Beuken - Endless/Sunset
Ozgur Can - Irony/Zero Hours
Re:Locate aka Octagen & Paul Moelands - Typhoon/Rouge
Signum - First Strike/Timelord/Second Wave

Am I correct in saying this? You think I should add someone? Lemme know? Be as critical as you like.

stick to house son

I am kinda lost as to your actual question. You want us to relay what our opinion is of your knowledge on a genre you profess to not know much about by reviewing a list of artists and productions you seem to like?

If this is the case then I would suggest not worrying about it.

Listen to what you ing like, ffs.

You probably don't know much about house either.

i think people here are long overdue in the realization that MUSIC IS SUBJECTIVE and there is no right or wrong list of what is ok to listen to.

Why do you need some internet BBS's opinion of your taste in music?

It's an ok list, but BEST? No ing way. Right of Way and Whiteroom would be my picks in your list. Nothing more.

I'll offer a few other suggestions based on the artists you listed
Ferry Corsten-Star Traveller/Fire
Andy Moor-Halcyon (Original and Alex Morph Mix)
Audioholics-External Key (Original and Perry O'Neil Remix)
Ozgur Can-Changed/Over Nothing at All
Ozgur Can-Connected (Santiago Nino Remix)
Marco V-Red Blue Purple
Piece Process-Solar Myth (Markus Schulz Breaks Mix)
Mark Otten-Tranquility (Markus Schulz Remix)
Shpongle-Dorset Perception (Sasha Involver Mix)

But as said before, it's all subjective. Don't change your tastes just because others don't agree with them.

I've been saying this from day one, but most of MD still fails to realize it. In fact the last line of my signature has been there since my first day here.

TranceArmstrong
why do you care what TA s have to say about your music?

ask for suggestions, not for permission lol
eRRaTiK
your question opens itself to too much subjectivity. Everyone has their own taste (hopefully) so what's "best" to you is not the same to somebody else, and vice versa.

Jonas Steur - Castamara
Adam White & Andy Moor pres Whiteroom - The White Room (note there's two people involved)

Nice choices. I like them.

I'd throw in my list (to name a few)...

Gouryella - Tenshi/Walhalla/Gouryella
Binary Finary - 1998
Three Drives – Greece 2000
GTR - Mistral
Jose Amnesia - The Eternal
Chicane - Saltwater
Sasha - Xpander
Way Out West feat Trisha Lee Kelshall - Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden Mix)

and a whole lot more but I won't go any further as there's a load of threads that list this kind of stuff.
