| I'm planning on heading up to Boston for this one. I've never been to Avalon. What should I expect? $9 Beer and dress code? |

Well, expect $7 beer, a dress code, and a 2.5 hr set.
Everyone from NYC will remind you about the early closing time(2am), and everyone from Boston will remind about how the vibe of avalon is long gone.
Truth be told, Avalon is a decent club. The sound is usually pretty good, The lighting is kind of cool, but it can get pretty crowded, and most of the fans aren't that educated in the EDM scene. However, Armin never dissapoints and it's pretty much garunteed that he'll rock it out.
Long story short, if you have the chance to see pretty much any DJ in NYC, do it. Parties in boston just arent the same, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. For those of us that dont live in NYC and cant make the trip down every other weekend, we make do. But i'll def be there next fri.... |

HAHA
I think I'm still gonna go. Its only $15 and I can't imagine how a crowd could be worse than Armin @ Pacha during the snow storm. Oh well, I can't wait for his "massive" outdoor event so this will do. If it was anyone other than Armin I'd stay here to see Talla. |

| Random question about avalon - can you still move freely between the 3 clubs? I think one was called axis, forgot the name of the other one.. |

Basically I'm with exactly what Greggy said...
It's not an NYC experience but armin really rocks it for something between 2-3 hours, and plays really hard and makes it 2-3 hours of worthwhileness. We make do and I'll definitely be there on Friday. |

unless you're in the boston area or are planning to make a weekend of it, spending twice as much time on the road as you do in the club is rarely worth it.
avalon is a quality club though and i've had good times during the many gigs i've attended there. |

that's correct, only after 12 but you cannot carry alcohol from one room into another.
Axis - ReggAY
Embassy - Hiphop
Club ID - some mexican music...basically crap coming out of the speakers |
