Politics, no matter what in, is something I will always try to be aware of, but stay out of. It always has the potential to destroy anything that is not established and flourishing. The trance scene in Melbourne may be established by having a bit of a history, but its not flourishing anymore.
Handbag house is right along side RnB at the top of the heap in the things that i rate as noise. I reckon TV static permanently going is much more musically creative. However at the end of the day the general population flocks to crap music because its more catchy. I love many genres of EDM and other music but I only love them because I have listened for quality in them and not catchy crud. Unfortunately not everyone is driven by the same desire for good quality music that most of the people here on this forum. The very reason for us all having this forum is that desire. Being the small community that we are, political issues need to be kept to a minimum if we want to grow.
Lucky for us Handbag House and RnB are dominating the radio stations that most people listen to in their cars and they are only really listening because they are driving so they are content just buying CD after CD of terrible catchy crap that has no musical depth or class. :tongue3
I do enjoy discussing politics though, its interesting as an observer. |
