New Trance anthem.

Korg Electribe MX - percussion, bass, lead
Akai MPC 1000 - drums, sub, fx
Access Virus b - arp
Novation X-Station - lead

This track originated as an EMX-only effort (EMXTrance1) and developed into a full-blown production (EMXTrance1v2).
I also uploaded a video of the original EMX-only mix. Available at soundclick link below. Enjoy!

Theres something missing man........i cant feel it......im not much of an trance-anthem guy either but i think people will give you the same sort of answer.
The only sound i like is the tb-like thing in the background

You seem very fond of your hardware...

Hard work + love + weed (ok not that) = trance

Try using some effects on your sounds m8. It sounds really dry.

I agree. I just completed a 3rd mix that has all parts tracked out separately with effects added. Please let me know if it sounds better.

aite nig, i listened.

if i sound a little harsh, too bad. ;)

the track is kinda empty, nothing there that makes it really worthwhile.

why you have all this gear, i duno, it doesnt sound like you've mastered any concepts...it sounds like you are AWARE of the main concepts, but you're just using them in such cliche ways...but that's how we all get started...

you know the basics, now you just need more expierence.

I appreciate your candor. Can you elaborate a bit on what you wrote. For example, what concepts haven't I mastered? In what areas do I need more experience? What makes the track sound "empty"? I admit the song is cliche, but that was what I was going for. I hear these formulamatic Trance anthems all the time and always wanted to write one. If you listen to my other songs, you'll realize that I'm not always cliche -- far from it, actually. Thanks again for the listen and taking the time to respond.
