Weak intro. Goes into melody right away without any build up to melody.
Overall it just doesn't sound 'full'. I don't feel that the bassline and the melody mesh in well. Maybe add in some pads to bridge the gap between the melody and the bassline, or make the highs a bit softened.
Like the ambient feel of the melody and what you did it to make it sound that way.
Breakdown is ok.
Outro needs to be less complex. Because you more or less have the original melody continuing all the way to the end, it's going to be hell to try to mix in the next track without the melodies clashing. Make it more DJ friendly.
Not sure how long you've been doing this, but it's an interesting tune. Like the idea and where you wanted to take the orig mix of Spiral and works overall as a chill out sort of tune, but does need a lot of work. |
