There have been attempts. Problem is, its hard for any club promoters to make money with that...so local-based weekly events have never lasted. The majority of the julios and geishas (clubber types) that go to clubs only want to hear rap, reggaeton, and other mainstream .
On a furthur note, I'm glad its non-existant myself. As far as the drugs and I say to each their own; however I believe the music of choice for a person should be able to be enjoyed to the fullest without it..hence no 'need' for the drugs in the first place.
