i even like load, hetfield's singing had improved immeasurably.

Bob Rock!! I almost threw up when I read the trade mags that he was going to be producing the black album,
I remember saying to my buds, The Death of a Great Band has begun......everything they wrote about, everything they stood for was just pissed and on when they started to work with that Canadian ass that produced great bands like Cher, Bon Jovi and Skid Row.
shame really, but they grew in popularity with Bob Rock but I guess thats all that mattered :rolleyes:

If you want real metal, Pick up some Megadeth, Dave Mustaine has stayed the same since he split with Lars and the boys....
good album to start off with....

ahhh megadeth, the poor man's metallica :p
obviously the black album wasn't their finest, but i think its infinitely better than reload or st anger. st anger being one of the worst albums of all time.
as i stated, hetfield's singing in load was excellent and going thru a vocal-loving stage i really liked it.
but justice, puppets & lightning are the top 3 imo. |

I was going to name my firts kid Depeche Mode, but nah......
how about the American's that love to give thier kids wierd names. Like Velveeta, LaQuanda, Shaniquala, Lexus, Shodralicka, Philly Blunt Jackson How the hell is a parent going to name thier kid VELVEETA!!! WTF?? stupid |

I've known the odd Rainbow, Moonbeam and other hippie crap names too which are just terrible, my mother wasn't completely sane after about 20hrs of labour so I ended up with a crap name.
Been running around for the last 20 odd years with my middle name. :( |
