I was having a conversation with my boy Matt (mfelner29 on here) about past experiences with DJs and stuff. I figured a lot of people on here are promoters, or in charge of events, etc., so this will be a funny post for you to talk about your "night with the DJ" when you brought him over....
I guess I'll start here on the round-table panel discussion haha... I've gotta say, my time with Martin Roth is filled with such good and funny memories. Right from the first hour of me and my friend driving him from the airport, we were on our way from JFK to Manhattan and we passed and absolutely HUGE cemetary, not sure which one it is, but it's at least a half mile long, at the very least, and right near whatever highway that was. He goes (in his funny PVD-ish German accent) "Wow, that is quite amazing, I must say... I've got to say, the New York City skyline, this is really something amazing" and he was turning around in his chair like a kid looking at the whole cemetary haha....
20 minutes later, we're in midtown and talking about German parties. He's in his 30s so he's been to just about every massive German even ever to have gone down. So we talk about Vandit parties and I'll never forget the awkwardness of this convo. He starts describing the Vandit nights and says "You would not believe the spirit of the crowd, it is absolutely massive (like Germans seem to say a lot, it seems!)... There are people screaming Vandit! Vandit! and holding signs and pictures and posters and FLAGS too! It is like a Nazi demonstration, hahaha!" (my friend Matt is Israel Jewish haha either way, it was funny, you hadda be there).
My second favorite story has gotta be me and one of my friends in the booth at Scot Project at Avalon two years ago. Frank (Scot) has some friends in New York so they were all having a crazy time in the booth, of course, on drugs, going CRAZY. And I was in the middle of the madness with my friend (his first time to Avalon, first time seeing Scot Project) who was having the time of his life. By this point he was wasted and drinking anything in site... Sure enough, he reaches over, without Frank knowing, and unknowingly steals two of Frank's huge beers (not in the regular beer cups that everyone else gets, but special big mugs that he requested). He downs them in a second; fast forward an hour later, I go back to the booth with my friend, of course the nutso are still partying in there, and one of them goes "Here dance with my girlfriend!!!!" so my drunk friend starts grinding with this girl while Scot is playing "yeah" by Angello/Ingrosso and grabbing her and stuff, and her boyfriend didn't care, she didn't care... Meanwhile, Frank's asking everyone where his beer went, in German, no1 has an answer, my friends on the crack-sofa in the booth holding Frank's boy's girlfriends hand while she shakes her ass in his face... and it was just such a funny scene...
OKAY, enough outta me haha What are your stories!? |

So I had a producer/DJ named Hydroid (Itay) @ my house for a month in July while he toured around the states @ different gigs and such. I took him to Crobar, Pacha, lil bars and such, but one night in my mind just stands out about us going out.
I took Hydroid to this place I go to once in awhile on a Tuesday in the village on Bleeker street called Falucka's (or h.e you spell it) It was me, him, and this girl I had met the other night @ Crobar that was from the same town in Israel that my family is from so I said to myself y not drag her along. So we are dancing and drinking and I'm just sticking with my beers and the girl is sticking with her rasberry and vodak's and such, and I turn over to look @ to see how Hydroid's is doing and hes just has empty wine glasses, shot glasses, and regular drink glasses and is just rambling on with some patrons @ the bar. I said to myself "I have a bad feeling about this", so we stumbled out of the bar, I took the girl home and my friend was in the back seat just blabbering on about IDK wat.
So we are on our way back home to Jersey and hes just totally faced I mean to a point where he shouldn't of been allowed to talk. We get through the tunnel and about 5 min's out he's like "Matt pull over" So I do and as I expected he threw up all over the grass for about a good 5 min, now as he finishes up and I'm done laughing my ass off I said to him "Hey man get back in the car will go over to the rest area and get some towels." This does not happen, what he does is looks on the ground for anything that he can wipe himself with and behold he finds a used napkin on the ground wipes his mouth and get back into the car and he says "Ok dude I'm ready to go" and passes out for the rest of the ride.
That will be one of the stories I will never forget :haha: |

Good story Eco, just wondering what kind of car you picked up Roth in.
BTW, the cemetary is actually three cemetaries, the calvary, new calvary, and mt zion. |
