| quote: | AMANDA, Ohio (AP) -- A substitute teacher's tool for silencing chatty kindergartners -- clothespins -- doesn't wash with school officials.
Four boys said spring-type clothespins were placed over their upper or lower lips for talking too much in class, Amanda-Clearcreek Primary School principal Mike Johnsen wrote in a letter to parents this week.
Ruth Ann Stoneburner, a retired school nurse who had worked as a substitute for several years, confirmed to Johnsen that she had used the clothespin discipline March 26, he said.
Stoneburner will not work again in the Amanda-Clearcreek district and was being reported to the state education department, Superintendent J.B. Dick said Wednesday.
Officials found out about the discipline after a parent complained. The students weren't hurt, but the punishment isn't condoned by the district, Dick said.
Stoneburner could not be reached for comment. |

the whole time I was reading this I kept thinking it was a safety pin :haha: :wtf:
clothepins over kids lips seems reasonable if it doesn't hurt like a mofo :p |

| I had a teacher who would stuff a chalkboard eraser in your mouth. I also saw him make a kid chew on a notebook once. Nice guy, he was. |

Oh man, in sixth grade this awkward kid in my class threw up one day after totally antagonizing the teacher the entire afternoon.
The teachers response? To pick the kid up while he's still in his chair, carry him out to the hall, set the chair down, come back in and begin teaching class.
It was the most horrible and hilarious thing I've ever seen. |

The daycare I was at when I was three/four/five years-old had this one lady who would duct tape kids mouths shut during nap time if they couldn't sleep. You'd always hear her screaming at the kids and making them cry. I could never sleep so I pulled my security blanket over my face and tried as hard as I could to not make a noise.
For the longest time I would fight with my parents about going before I finally mustered the courage to tell them, then they got that bitch's ass arrested. |

| My kindergarten teacher was hot. I think she was still in college or something. I remember when she came to school all the kids would run up and give her a hug. I totally copped a feel a few times :stongue: |

My middle school vice principal accused me of being a drug dealer, as he'd found a box of caffeine pills in my locker.
5-7 years later, he was fired for being "inappropriate" with a student. |
