my junior year of high school, i used to go with 2 of my friends with empty backpacks to nordstrom, american eagle, victoria's secret, albertsons, etc and steal probably about $300 worth of each time...and we would go like 5/6 times a month....
that was a really awful phase...thankfully I never got caught, and it's always been something i've been ashamed of. but yeah. at some points, everything i was wearing on a given day, from underwear to shoes to jewelry to pants...was all stolen :(

Never have, though for a time I used to 'borrow' the odd bit of gear from where I worked and take it home, always brought it back. Shoplifters are funny creatures though, having worked on-off in retail you find the damnedest of people that just go around nicking things.
7-70, male, female, rich, poor, crazy, normal... didn't matter who they where, they'd steal anything nailed down and end up in tears out the back room with security detaining them until the cops arrived.

Weirdest one was this bloke that would have been about 6'4 or so, probably weighed in about 16-17stone, late 30's, probably could have played prop in rugby and torn the arms off 95lb assistants like Chewbacca losing at chess.
Floral dress, kind of hairy shoulders and a grey-blonde wig.

Life in a big city... I've seen scarier since, (but not much!) and it's a bit of a shock to a then 19yr old.
I saw him lift something from the cosmetics counter across from me and drop it in a handbag and I start picking up the phone to try and call it in as innocuously as I could.
Eyes met as he's doing the over the shoulder check and I think I'm about to die trying to call it in when he's only about ten steps away and they busted him at the door. Think I lived in fear of him figuring out it was me for about 3 months... :nervous:

mostly at pirated cd shops..well they're pirated anyway so I dont think I'm really stealing...in fact i'm helping the copyrighters!
Most expensive I stole was a watch and it was from a police station. Long story short.. I was all alone in this locker full of supplies and I saw a watchbox with a swiss branded watch inside. Didnt think twice cause there werent any cameras around.

back when I was 9, we used to goto the local shop on the way to school. We all were from local streets & the owners knew us well. We would pick some sweets & they wouldn't bother counting them to see if we'd got the right number for our 20 pences. I once picked up some fizzy strips and got outside. i realised i hadn't picked 4 at 5p each up cos they'd stuck together and i had 10 of them. I was mortified for days.

yes i did, friend of mine taught me how to do it back in 3rd grade, did it a bit some, the items was more or less candy, softdrinks and i think once a pack of tapes. got caught once, didn't stop me for doing it after, but i think after i got caught i was more reluctant to do it. and then like i stopped doing it because it was silly,
not very proud of that whole thing
