i was on a kick where i'd fall asleep listening to mixes, but i ended up staying up trying to anticipate things in the music/mixing, so i had to stop. i just turn the tv volume down a little and put it on sleep. i cant sleep in dead silence cuz i just start thinking about everything and anything.

i don't know your problem personally, but though music may be a massive part of your life i think you could probably put on like a nature soundtrack and it would do the trick too

personally i usually sleep 3-4 days of the week and i am usually working late on the weekdays and deejaying on weekends so when i do sleep it's easy

if i put music on when i sleep i get ed up half dream half reality experiences

progressive is great to sleep on...i do it often. i can sleep on trance or techno too. it's a really nice feeling when you're somewhere between sleep and awake and you hear some nice edm sounds in the background.

it's not a problem by any means, i enjoy listening to music while i sleep

I did used to sleep with music for about 7 years.

I usually listened to Psytrance, Ambient, Trance, progressive, whatever the mood I feel.

I don't really feel asleep with music, I just listen for about 2 hours, and I get in a state wehre I'm awake and sleep at the same time.

then afte the music finish I will fall asleep, I rearely get to sleep with music playing.

Now I stop doing that, because I have problems with my ears, and that' beacuse the haven't rest for 7 years, so now I just don't play music while sleeping, well maybe 15 or 20 minutes, and I get to sleep.

I think it's kind of an obsession, that I don't want to stop listenign to music.

i wouldn't get sleep properly if there was music playing. i love my music but i also love silence. i'd rather have everything dead silent when i'm going to bed and when i'm doing something that requires deep thinking (studying etc.).

Your local music store probably has a couple hidden in some dusty corner where no one ever goes next to the country and bluegrass.

im right there with ya. i can't go to sleep unless i got some tunes playin.

for a while, i was listening to Adam Johnson - Four Square and some other deep tech house stuff, but now i just tune into Groove Salad and im out like a ing light.

and is it just me, or are dreams effected by what u hear? I find that if its complete silence my dream would be rather dull, but with some chillout/ambient lurking in the background, they have much more emotion and i can remember them better.

I like your avatar..a lot.

Yes, ever since I was about 10-12 years old...I usually (5-6 nights out of 7) have some sort of edm playing for me while i fall asleep. Sometimes though, I put on some banging toon, and it gets me active so I'm forced to turn it off completely to really cool down and fall asleep.

Try a fan. I turn the fan on and my body switches into sleep mode (probably bc you hear the fan all night and eventually associate it with sleep). Its also just loud enough to cover up stupid noises that keep me up (cars, house noises, neighbors, etc). Then in the morning I turn off the fan and turn the music on to start my brain for the day. Problem is I can't sleep without a fan now.
