So 2 nights ago I came home from being out for a bit. I had no intentions of mixing when I got back but when I did walk through the door I was like, "I'm gonna record a mix!" So I went at it for 75 minutes. Ever have one of them solo mixing sessions where you are just banging away with every track and it all just comes together perfectly while you are going ape with the EQ's and your head is bobbin' from start to finish? Well this was one of those mixes. Thankfully I have the neighbors I do because the speakers were thumpin!

So mix is over and I am so excited to listen to my recording... that is until I hit play and the recording is all static and bass. YYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch. That sucks man. I know exactly what that feels like, except I don't even take the time to record. Usually, mixes done on the spot like that turn out the best for me too.

Yeah it really sucks when that happens, especially when the clipping starts if my chanel faders are set above 3 (and I'm instinctually turning them up well past that!):p
