I'm more inclined to agree with SuspicionVandit than you on this one :p
Imus didn't just suddenly turn into an idiot this week, people could have been outraged long ago, but on top of being an opportunistic cunt, Al Sharpton is a ing media whore. On top of that, politically correct culture rules American society, so we're beat over the head with this pointless drivel we're told is "news" for a few days until things die down and most idiots forget what they were mad about in the first place.

Right, but Sharpton aside, Imus is an . He has a history of racism and misogyny that have no place in so-called political discourse. The FCC goes after Howard Stern for talking about sex, but not after Imus for a slew of comments designed to alienate and belittle minority populations. Frankly, I don't care what population he happens to be targeting. Bigots should keep their comments to the private realm, and certainly shouldn't mask them as "news", thank you very much. |
