wow

I know it doesn't matter what other people think of it. I do love it. and very happy with my decision. But I can't help but feel a little hurt by some comments on here.

Last time I was on the TA forum, everyone was so nice, and everyone loved each other like a big tranced-out family. Seemed like everyone was accepting and no one was critical of each other. I believe everyone comes from different backgrounds, and different countries....so there are always differences between cultures. I always find trance a universal culture that connects everyone together.

With that being said, I have no idea where some of these TA people are coming from, but I'm a little disappointed in how this place has changed with some of the people. I really didn't think I'd have to defend myself here. But here we go....

First of all, I'm supportive of anyone that wants to do anything with their bodies however they want. It's such a personal desicion that I admire. Even if I couldn't consider that design on my body in that specific place, I'm happy that someone has for theirs. Honestly, I'm a piercings chicka...always had, always will. I love them way more than tats.

Next, a custom drawn design would look great on people, and yes it does make it a little more personal. However, I am a graphic designer and I draw crap all of the time. I've considered many trance symbols that I feel represent trance. But I felt the Armind Angel represents it way better than I can ever think of. Just because I didn't come up with the design, I'm completely okay with this. and no, I don't consider it "ripping it off of something"

And another thing, I do have a very professional career for whoever sarcastically said that I didn't and never will. I'm a graphic designer for a big advertising agency. You see anything by Nokia, chances are, I've touched it. I love what I do, and whatever I have pierced or tattooed doesn't affect my professional life one bit. My day time and night time lives are completely seperate.

OH...and lastly, my stupidity? I completely talk slang alot....hell, I'm Texan. I didn't think everyone here was going to get an english lesson. I type the way I talk, and I believe it shows personality. And if anyone was to get drilled for the way they said a sentence or spelled anything, everyone would be called upon. If you really are dying for me to change my signature to put HAVE in there, I'll do it. But geez, come on? Stupidity? \

I'm an all around happy girl. I'm sorry if that offends some of you. And since I'm not coming back at you to bash you, I'm hoping that shows some maturity on my part.

If you like it that's all that matters. :D

3 things though :

1- I wouldn't have come on here and showed it off because you know the douchebags will bitch about it.

2- I don't understand why someone would get a tattoo that has something to do with DJ's, singers, bands, record labels. I think , though it's kinda cute, it's corny/stupid, imo

3- I'm now a douchebag.

EDIT: I'm not going back to read the whole thread but what does this tattoo have anything to do with a professional career? Lame.

:stongue: I was even being nice saying that I didn't like the position of the tat but if you're going to throw a hissy fit I might as well tell you the truth. It looks trashy, it makes you look trashy, it is too big, it is badly placed, the finger pointing is retarded, and I hope you keep your hair long because people will seriously laugh at how dumb it looks.

Sorry. But if someone is going to put something up for public scrutiny, they can't expect everyone to love it. Unfortunately the world isn't all kisses and mwuggles.

I actually think everyone on the whole was discussing it in a reasonable way ;) You have to realise, we get one person a month almost coming on with a design that's taken from something, you have no idea how many people have the gatecrasher lion in mind, yet most of them have never even experienced the proper gc, maybe just an offshoot in a poor country as a marketing plan but then wonder why people laugh at them. On the other hand, I just think that it's silly to brand yourself with something that someone else came up with, regardless of how much you draw in the dayjob, tatoos seem to be getting done for the sake of having one with many people, rather than for an actual meaning behind it.

And finally, there are many people who've had tats who cant get jobs because of where they are. it's a very real problem and whoever said it makes you look unprofessional probably is reading from this thought book.
