NHL Playoffs: Who Owns The Cup (pg. 5)

Some players kick it up to another level in the playoffs, while others fade off (Marian Hossa for example)...I think that Anaheim with both Pronger and Niedermeyer will be able to shut down the top forwards on their opponents, so as long as they score a few goals I think they will win the West...not sure about the East but I think this could be Buffalo's year. Defence usually wins in the playoffs though, so Jersey could come through as well if Brodeur gets hot...
Detroit for whatever reason keeps tanking it in the playoffs, and Datsuyk and Zetterberg did nothing last year.
Pittsburg has some scary offence but Fleury is pretty weak in my opinion, so I don't see them going too far. |
