Macs are like training wheels for a bike. hahah just kidding. One day i might get one, but i don't like that they are not as upgradeable as windows. They are damn sweet though.

That's because Macs don't NEED to be upgraded as often as Windows :p

haha, uh oh. I didn't mean to start a flame war. I swear! >:]

Back on track though, FireFox is pretty damn nice, minus that horrid memory leak which they STILL haven't fixed. Need something a little more native (Cocoa) on the Mac side though. Camino is nice, but not quite powerful enough. And Safari is just well, Safari. :P

I just need to find out a way to get rid of those flash animated/soundsincluded ads :whip:

Firefox + Adblock and ********. I fought Mozilla/Firefox for years until I found out about those two add-ons. ******** is mandatory when browsing questionable websites ;) Also like Firefoxe's built in cookie management.

Depending on how often you visit the site(s) that contain those, just install Platypus and strip the content from the site yourself. Or you can try searching through the Greasemonkey script archive if it's a popular enough site. Someone may have done the dirty work for you. :)

i've never even noticed the ads since i've been using firefox since the first release. prior to that, i was using opera. i haven't been using IE since maybe version 4 or 5.

My laptop is so slow now and I've had it for 1 yr. I've tried uninstalling FireFox cuz it seemed to be having more problems but it won't let me.
Since I'm no computer nerd/geek, I think I need someone to check it out and get it running the way it was months ago. :sadgreen:

Firefox + Adblock FTW!

I believe I did all the steps correctly but it seems that it's not working on my application.
I'm gonna stick to Netscape, but those adds are annoying. Anyone have something to block them with Netscape?

Orbital32
can you post a screenshot? and also of your the PREFERENCE screen of Adblock?
Orbital32
if you added my list and the link you use is this:
