I'm totally with the thread starter on this one. you're dishing out hard earned 900$+ on a piece of electronic equipment and all you get is a bull answer like that.
Then they act like it's your fault. |

So as long as you don't contact their customer service, DJDeals is fine. I also had an email incident with them over something I ordered which I thought was going to ship thru them, but instead was going to be drop-shipped from the manufacturer. I got a confirmation saying that my items had shipped, but only one item I bought was listed as shipped without so much as an indication that the other was to be sent out separately.
I was pissed, cause I thought they screwed up, and emailed them asking why the other thing hadn't shipped and if what I bought was really in stock. Their response was "Oh, well we'll just pretend this email isn't for us, as we have no idea what you are talking about." Like the threadstarter, I sent a few emails, and each time they copped an attitude like they couldn't give a , until they finally told me that "sometimes we drop-ship stuff from the dealer like we did here."
I did end up buying from them again, and everything was fine, considering I didn't need customer service. They are extremely arrogant and it seems to me they are up their own ass. Kinda reminds me of a few eBay sellers I've dealt with...
But yea, totally unprofessional communication with them, otherwise they're ok. |

...and like we have been telling you over and over again their first email contained all the info you needed. |
I'm sorry but since I am the one currently out of pocket (way out of pocket) I demand more of an explanation and some indication of concern for my troubles. So to me, no the first email did NOT contain all the info I needed. Agree with me or don't.
Like I've already said, it was arrogant of me to mention TA and I was a little embarrassed about it when I posted this thread and I could have edited it out but I didn't. I put everything on the table, their comments and mine. I was fuming at the time so I probably went about a few things the wrong but it absolutely does not change the fact that these people deal horribly with customer complaints. What difference does it make if it's an online deal? It's still money out of the bank.
Once more, if you want to tell me I'm a bitch and shouldn't have gotten upset and complained, I challenge you to disprove the validity of my restaurant argument. If you can't do that and you have nothing new to add to this debate then stop posting in this thread.
I appreciate everyone who has defended me so far and I respect the opinions of the people who haven't. I especially enjoyed reading the generally objective comments from people in the biz. |

DJDEALS has no phone number published, but I do agree with you. |
Personally, I tend not to deal with internet companies that dont advertise their phone number. Call me a cynic (sp?), but I just think they have something to hide when this is the case.
There's nothing worse than having to deal with customer services through email as you get the feeling that they don't care (when maybe they do) as you can't tell their tone through text.
This is why I always deal with customer services over the phone as I feel that something will be done this way. |

In my experience dealing with professional DJ's i have found that majority tend to be very demanding when you are doing a service for them. They allways pay attention to smallest detail, and expect you to kiss their ass. I think its ok though. When you are a wedding DJ, theres a bride that expects everything to be perfect, and the DJ has to be kissing everyone's ass to be liked and to be hired again. Now this guy expects DJdeals to do the same for him. Thats why wedding or party DJ's are some of the most difficult people to work for. But there are always exeptions.
To KristineClub:
Being a dick to someone you just gave your money to is not wise thing to do. They got what they want, you did not, yet. You still need their help to get your stuff. Be nice to them. This way you have a better chance getting your help faster. They will want to help you. After you get your stuff, do whatever you want. Bitch at them, post negative remarks on TA, whatever. But not till you receive your purhcase or money. |

I used my credit card to buy the thing, it's not like I couldn't just as easily dispute the charge if they didn't send me the mixer. Besides, they're not the ones helping me, Allen & Heath are and they're doing a great job. |

He should have at least given a time frame - "A&H will get in touch with you via email within 3 business days" or something to the effect.
He also should have given a quick apology, even though it was not djdeals's fault...just like the waiter apologizes when the chef messes up your meal.
That's my opinion, and that's how I run things. |

| i got big pants |
| i personally dont bother with online websites...even agi. i'd rather go into guitar center and buy my stuff and go home happy. if theres any issue, its easy to go back and either complain or get the issue resolved. that and i really dont like waiting to get gear. i want to mess around with it that day. that and guitar center is good at price matching |
