Net Label Singles - coded audio
View this Thread in Original format
coded audio
This thread is designed to bring some sort of exposure to the excellent talent lurking out there in Net Label land. I regularly sift through many many songs freely available on the net produced by amatuer bedroom musicians with a fascination for raw minimal / tech sounds.

It blows me away just how good some of these songs are but they are still few and far between. Most of the Net Label tech stuff is absolute rubbish. I aim to bring you guys the pick of singles I come across as you may well see a place for one of these in your mixes.

Check back regularly as I will continue to update.

In no particular order here is the first instalment.

Buckle up and download as these tracks are RED HOT !!

Please leave feedback if you can.

Manaslu - Matthias Hampel

hey, great stuff here mate. thanks for your efforts as they've payed out nicely. I am a netlabel owner myself and i can tell you there is a lot of great music out there that is unheard of or played- it's great when people like you wish to share this with the rest of us and I support your cause :)

I would like to know who or where i can find the artists though so maybe a link to the netlabel or artists website would be helpfull. Oh and another idea is just a general genre classification from you would be wicked too.

so like

Leggo’s Ride After Dark Mix - Slim Pickins’
Really dark, liked it a lot, but not so much with the crap (imo) effects the producer through in (7/10)

Cellophan - Uwe Hell
Pretty annoyed with this track, especially whatever clanking was going on behind the bass, but those deep, ripping synths were pretty sick (4/10)

Manaslu - Matthias Hampel
Sounded pretty standard to me (5/10)

Look For - Volker Selzner
Ohhhh just pitched down a tad and I would just make sweet love to this track. Would be great mixed with some Booka Shade. (8/10)

Lost It ( Granlab Remix ) - Volker Selzner
Very, very nice. However, when it did a short breakdown abouut 70% of the way through, I was expecting it to just take off, but it didn't and through in this so so rapping sound. (7/10)

Siempre quedará amumas house - El Txef A
Sounds really cool with the distortion and that skipping tone flipping between left and right speakers. Is it just me or is the mastering on this track really fn good (although gets a bit loud at the end)? Such a great feel of disconnect and loneliness on this track, and unlike the other tracks has great dimension to it. HA and then after that ambient-like section when that nice beat rolls in, just gold. What separates this track from the rest, is this guy really seems to know how to build a song and combine that with what I felt was a pretty original sound. (10/10) I you not

Una mirada al cielo - El Txef A
This guy definitely has skill, but this track just wasn't doing it for me. (4/10)

Thanks for the songs Coded. It's really cool to see stuff like this that I would have never heard before. There are only two tracks that I would buy: El's Siempre and Volker's Look For, but El's track is honestly one of the best tracks I have heard in a long time.

Going to give these a listen - great idea Coded :)
