Enjoyable enough mix, sir. I enjoyed the bulk of the tracklist, even if most of tunes are dated (not a big deal to me, personally). Mixing was fair, nothing to be ashamed of at all. There were some rough transitions (galloping beats, e.g.), but I don't think any of them made your mix unbearable. Most were corrected quickly enough, cheers for that. There was some phasing (kicks canceling each other out) during a few transitions. I'll have to be honest: I really don't know the solution to this, as this is something I was struggling with yesterday afternoon myself. Maybe lower/kill the bass on the outgoing track? I'm sure others could offer better ideas, especially in the DJ Booth forum. The only other thing I can think of would be phrasing - a couple of transitions would have sounded better (to me, as this is just my preference) if the incoming track had come in, say, 8 to 16 beats, sooner. Again, this is something I am STILL working on myself. I tend to err on the side of caution, and this results in some of my mixes running too long and ending up a little boring with that "dead" space in there where not much is happening.

In summary: good effort! Keep practicing, keep recording, and keep posting.

thanks mate... and thanks a lot! :)
first to tell... i'm not a sir, i'm a miss ;) but no need to worry about that, its a constant thing to miss on the forums :D

what you said about rough transitions and galloping beats and kicks cancelling is what i personaly was aware of and knew before i posted the mix and it was the thing EXACTLY which i wanted to hear, cuz i know where are those small/big mistakes of mine, but i really had no patience to record it again and again and again, and i said to myself: "What the hell... i'll post it and wait for the boom cuz i'm totally ready to hear it!" :D So lemme say that i'm kinda happy to hear all of what you've said, cuz i've heard the mix several times after its done and i know very well what you're talking about. I just wanted to hear if there's smth more to be fixed, but you said nothing new.. and i'm happy :D

...and that thing about 8/16 beats earlier... yep, could've happen with Rapture e.g. and the last song, Yet Another Day, but i saw that the time is running out and i wanted it to be less than 80mins, idiot :whip: and thats the prize i've paid - bad transition :(

but all of the things you've said, the ones i also already know, will make me do it better next time.. ;)
of course i'll keep on practicing, this is my first piece published on i-net and posted somewhere to be heard, so i'm on my way ;)
and i love this so much so i wont give up for any reason on this planet :D

thank you, sir, once again ;)

Cheers, MISS! Sorry about that. Nice to see that you are open to constructive criticism! Many are not, but it's one of the many ways we learn and is thus a necessary evil.

Like you, there's nothing that would make me stop mixing. Look forward to your next mix.
N-tchbl
Cheers mate! No need to be sorry, its ok ;)
Yep, i guess i'm opened for the critics cuz i wanna learn more and learn a lot and thats the best way to learn: do something and then let the others see/hear/try it and wait for the critics. :) Though this world is full of people who are simple haters and will throw a hate even if its not deserved... we should be aware of that...
But this forum is great, and i see that there're a lot of situations people are helping eachother with...
So this one of your critics is really something that made me happy to read and i took it the best way ;)
Thank you once again... hopefully i'll have some time to record smth new soon, exams are close, but nights are for music only :D

Nothing can stop me. :toothless
