Or if you think about sports. How much are tickets to see the Leafs play (at ticket value), for only 3 hours. Whereas many concerts can go on for hours! |

depends on who we are talking about here, Sasha Digweed back to back?
Lawler - Sasha back to back morning set?
Tiesto and Ferry Corsten?
Venue to consider, Armin boat cruise?
Nick Warren's set at Systemsound Bar?
Max Graham at Turbo? |

i usually look at it from a party point of view.
i pay for the party potential not for the DJ/DJs.
now DJs obviously bring a party potential up, venue brings the potential up, my mood, hype from friends. it all goes into calculating the amount i am willing to pay.
(and , this armin party's costs are really going up fast, only because i can't get tickets)
edit: i voted no price too high, (but for the party, not for a DJ) |

I think it more depends on the length of the sets.
I would pay around 50$ for Tiesto, Danny T, Roger Sanchez, David Morales...if they were long sets. Not like 2 hour sets, I'm talking ...4-5 hour sets to just dance to.
I wouldn't go into the >80 range unless its a huge event with many people, multiple DJ's, and long hours (over 10 hours). |
