| i wonder how much toronto's ty transit system has to do with it's position? |

hmm, the TTC is lacking big time. Hong Kong and even China has the new system where there's no drivers and its all automated, platforms are sealed off by a plastic see through window so that no one can jump off, trains come every 2-3 minutes, and you use a card with a computer chip in it with some prepaid cash and just beep yourself in. I think about the crappy transit system every time when I go home for work and have to wait 20 min + for a street car then 10 min + for a subway train. rawr!!
But best city to live in for me thus far is Montreal. Hong Kong a close second, Buenos Aires Argentina a third. |

| lol, ok, perhaps my Italy comment was a bit far fetched (although Italy does still have societal problems, and compared to its European neighbours it's quite poor), but Russia's not considered to be a developed country by the UN. Our high crime rate, political corruption, level of healthcare, social programs, national morale/unity are probably the reason for this. I'm proud to be Russian, but the Russians themselves ed it up so much it's a fraction of what it should be, considering our land mass, population, and natural resources. This is why it's not considered a developed country aka not first-world aka third world country. |
