Well then I just fail to see how this thread is concerning mixing with an 800 mk II.

rather than create yet another 800mk2 thread, i thought i'd let everyone know i just received my pair of brand new CDJ800mk2 (w beatport vouchers :D) and have had absolutely NO problem mixing with them. they are absolutely phenomenal and i havent had a single issue beatmatching...completely flawless mixes and they were completely accessible as i was rocking cdj200's before. the change from .02 to .05 (6% vs 10% pitch accuracy) is seamless. haven't had a single issue, and in fact I think i like .05 in some regards.

i'll post a proper review as soon as i get the cahnce (hopefully over the weekend)

absolutely amazing machines

i did

some mix, i didn't download it, no time to listen to mixes, busy working on 3 different cds (1 down, 2 to go)

andrew, let me know how they turn out, i'm thinking about getting new cdjs soon and if the 800mk2s are good enough maybe i'll just save the cash and get them instead of the 1000mk3

tony, review is up. pm or post if you have any questions. honestly I would just got for the 800mk2's as i've played on the 1000's (mk2's and orig's not on mk3's though) and don't think its worth it to splurge extra for them.

Agreed - and even when I play out on 1000's, I end up playing with .05% pitch - so the difference, at least for me, is negligible.

i did.
just a question for finny. What are you going to do if u play somewhere that doesnt have a cdj1000 will u not be able to play on it? if that the case u seriously need to practice u cant be very good in the first place if u have to have a 1000 and nothing else.

well said.

music selection/creativity makes the dj.

EDIT: On top of that: What happened to pitch correction in the mix, is the pitch slider to far to reach from your mixer or something? I use vinyl it tends to go off towards the end of my tunes anyway.

Does that mean I suck and having to make small correction after a bit means I can't lock a beat? <-serious question.
