Most of my mates slate EDM four of my friends are into dance music etc, a couple more can listen to it without minding it, the majority hate it though. We have this old bag lady in town who plays this 1980's Casio keyboard busking for her cats they always say my music sounds like the cat ladies keyboard.
There was a house party round my manor last week. We borrowed my housemates Ipod as people wanted a change from my music. My friend Emily was looking through my housemates tunes and suddenely laughed out really loud we put it on and found a whole host of rubbish. Mika, Nelly Furtado, Scooter, So Solid Crew, along with a couple of other gems you wouldn't want others knowing you had exposed to a load of people :stongue:

all of my friends over the years have been really openminded and receptive about EDM. my two best friends back in NY didn't really know anything about it but they knew it was a huge passion of mine, and after i made them listen to a few CDs/mixes, they started liking it. now they ask me to send them new sets all the time... and my one friend thinks Danny Howells is the after only hearing his Essential Mix from this year. it's kinda cute, actually.
i also got my ex and all his friends into EDM. we used to throw house parties and i would always be in control of the CD player so i'd inevitably make them listen to that i wanted to listen to, and they loved it. i'll never forget when this one guy, who is a total country-music-listening redneck hick, was glued to the TV when i had a PVD DVD on.. and he was like "Myra, can we go see PVD when he plays here next? he's awesome!"
but i bet RJT wants to kick my ass for some of the terrible emo and indie music i listen to... :clown:
