Hey,
this is my newest creation and I can say that this is probably the most detailed of my productions so far. This track is pure Dark Sci-Fi I guess. Its a very epic track consisting of two parts, and its not just dark, its even getting quite melodic and picks up more drive towards the end.

heres the link for you:

Note that this track will also be released on the coming cosmic flower compilation.
One word about the mixing/mastering: I tried to make all the elements balanced quite equally to each other. So the leads are not really in the foreground mix wise, to give the fx and ambience more space to breathe. It seems like it works to me.

Your comments are really much appreciated! Enjoy! :)

This has a very dark atmosphere for a Goa tune.

The tune gets more energetic half way through & picks up more goa attributes. It is a great combination of GOA & dark psy. It works & me likes it :p

I enjoyed the melodic synth pattern. All the elements sound great. I see what you mean by saying you've put the lead further back in the mix to eccentuate the fx. It's not bad, I do feel they not as forward as they should be, but I do still enjoy the fx. Turning the tune right up in volume is great, I get emersed a huge sci-fi atmospheric landscape. When I turn it down a bit I wish for the leads to be more upfront. This is just my opinion, but I still like what you have achieved.

Thank you Xeno! Unfortunately I dont think its possible to push the leads more into the foreground without losing a lot of the background ambience. This is the kind of vision of atmospheric sound I have.

Glad you enjoyed :)

Way to hit the nail on the head!
By flattening out the lead and ambient levels you've got this nice full sounding and interesting electronic 'wall'. Which was what I thought was lacking from a track like your 'Corrosion Complete' which tended to overwhelm parts of the more interesting and delicate sounds in places unless you where really concentrating and trying to hear them.
No such problem here. Very good.

Hey Lilith, thanks for your comment. I am glad you like the wall of sound too :)

By the way, a second link if the first doesnt work:

hey mate, wow the tune is 14:46 mins:eyespop: cool vocals in the beginning, awesome uplifting dark pads in the beginning.. i really like the intro. 1:20 the cyber bass jumps in, very cool:) i wonder where you always get those cool vocal fx's.. nice melodies here, the tune is just a bit to long for me. maybe make it around 8 mins, should be enough i think:) nice atmosphere in this tune, the vocals make the track sound like its happening in space:p

good job man!

Bidor:)

will download as soon as i get home and leave a feedback, i am sure i would be able to give you some usefull pointers unless its absolutely perfect to my ears.

btw. i was wrong about how you should have flat reference monitors, its not true after all as my good friend DJ PALM improved me wrong.

after all, it is what it is, btw i always wanted to ask you what type of sound card you're using.

Nice start...Pretty evil, and those vocals are great in the intro. Ha, the way you bring in the beat is cool, nothing fancy it just comes in. A typical woodpecker psy bassline, excellent!

I think you are doing a good job with the mixing, you get a lot of power out of your bass and kick, yet they seemed to be turned low in the track...You could just compress the kick a bit so it has more of a punchy snap...But it sounds fine how it is, thats just if you wanted it to stick out more.

Is it just me or is there not many highs in this? Some of the hi hats and perc elemets might sound better if they where a bit higher on the freq range...

Still great track (adds to playlist)...
