Then again, I'm a real n00b when it comes to producing. When the time comes to get signed (years from now), what did you guys do to get that deal on the table? How did you convince the head of the record label to release your song or remix? How did the licensing work out (for samples, etc.)?

I believe Morello was referring to the first vinyl you purchased.
