No, I moved home for personal reasons and to go to school. There is tons of work in Calgary and all of Alberta. So I'm sure it'd be easy for them to find something, of course depending on what they want to do.

If you wanted to work the rigs, to start about 20$/hr plus bonuses. I have a buddy who makes almost 90K+/yr. It's hard work and long hours, but it's very good money.

As for construction, I'm sure it's about the same as TO 15$/hr or so. Maybe a little more because they want to attract people.

Isn't the cost of living there pretty high as well?

How much does a starter at mcdonalds make? in ontario it's 7.50? (min wage.)

Yeah Calgary is getting pricy apparently. I live in Lethbridge, small town (80,000) couple hours south, and even house prices and such are going up really fast here. As for mcdonalds I don't know, but I know in Banff it starts at something ridiculous like 17$/hr.

It sounds so good to me. Make good money, Snowboard in the winter, Mountain Bike in the summer. Seems like a great place for an adrenaline junkie with expensive hobbies.
