FL Studio shooting itself in the foot?

So...
I built a new dual core machine and found out FL has crap support for it. Only VST instruments support two cores, everything else (effects) run on one. This is madness, especially considering you wont be able to buy single core CPUs in 6 months heh.
Does anyone have any info on when they're going to get their together and do it properly?
I've hear rumours they probably never will, due to the way the program has been written. |

Is that with the newest one? Are you sure you didn't miss something or maybe didn't configure it properly?
I don't use FL anymore but if it's true, it's an awful direction to head in. Multiple core support has made running my sequencers a breeze. |

| Yup, this is FL7 with multi threaded generator whatever enabled. |

| Well then I can definitely say that that sucks major balls. |

man.. never say never.. as if they aren't going to have to face the music one day and update their software in accordance with the hardware tech around
the future is multicored, software will support it one day =P |

OP calm down, they wouldnt be stupid enough to not support it.

| I'm a little too lazy to search, but I'm pretty sure this was covered back in January with FL Studio 7's release. It currently does not support dual core - but rest assured they will get the idea from spam on their forums and customer complaints. |

| I read a post saying gol (developer) will not be doing it, because it will pretty much mean redesigning the entire program. Hence, there will just be more cheap work arounds like what we have now. |

Yeah, I read that some where as well. It just seems illogical on their part - multi-threading is the future of software development... why stay behind the curve when you already know your system needs to be ahead?
By the end of this year we'll see 8 core processors... I'll be quite surprised if gol decides to only support 1... That's more of a death sentence than shooting yourself in the foot. |
