| there's gazillion of them... sure it's possible to survive, I'd say cheapest you could find is like £80/pw if you wanna stay in a hostel, b&b is like £35+, add to some £20 for necessary food & drinks per day, I guess so, price depends on where you're going. |

first of all, where in the uk are u going, like everything else, it depends on the area u go to the prices u'll have to pay... u might find the following like some use... and going by wot u said, B&B's is probably ur safest bet

If you're looking more hostel type, from what i have found thats close in to the city centre, one of the lesser dodgy ones seems to be the Astor Museum hostel. About 20 quid a night. Across the road from the British Museum
Barring someone coming up with a better option that's probably where I'll be staying.
(oh, plus if you're a student, get an ISIC card and its 10% off;) ) |

that looks pretty good. Used to live and went to uni just round the corner and it is a nice place, close to Covent Garden for night-time action, plenty of cheap food places round there too as its next to one of the biggest universities in London. |

Try this: http://www.hostelbookers.com/bookin...n=hosteldetails
That's also just around the corner of British Museum. I was staying there last week and it's also cheap and good plus they are offering more than 600 beds! |
