| Well thought I would take this chance to ask if anyone else is having trouble posting new threads/replies on the forums. I just installed windows xp and ie 6. Since then I have been unable to post anything on the board from home. I am having to do everything from uni. Keep getting errors such as: "Server hangup", "Page cannot be displayed" and more. Internet seems to run fine otherwise, just when I come to post stuff on the boards. PM'ed swamper about it but everything he has said has failed. Just wondered if any of u guys had the same trouble or is it just my pantz pc!?!?!?!?!? |

| Sounds strang,e i have the same setup and no probs here. Sound slike you need to reinstal, what version of XP u running? |

have u gone to windowsupdate.microsoft.com ?? also the only other thing you could try is installing netscape - dunno if it owrks on xp though

| Got the final release of XP professional don't really wanna re-install, its so much trouble. Will try the update thing, but I am sure microsft will fuk me in the arse cos I am using an illegal version of xp! |

wouldnt recomend it then.... have heard rumers about microsoft tighting up with pireted copies of XP, maybe try installing netscape navigator or another alternitative to internet explorer?

| I'm using IE6 tho with win98se (I can't be arsed to upgrade til I got a dvd writer and freed some space up) and I have no probs, 5.5 ed mine up so i went to 6 and got no problems, I'd make sure u check all the internet options, maybe somethings ticked what shouldn't be, if not then I dunno |

Right you may have a crap copy of xp. I will bring up my copy which runs fine on sat mate. You can try that :) |

| dood, i think it just does it sometimes... it happened to me too, it lasted for about a day and half or sumfing, i got win98 and i had the same probbie, it wouldnt even try to open the site, s'happened a few times actually, but, hoo knows?:conf: |
