| I'm willing to pick people up at the airport too. Its no more than 20 minutes from our house. As far as money goes, like everyone said, it depends what you want to do. Obviously you'd have to take alcohol/substances into consideration. |

Last time we played out all together, all the DJs got free drinks all night, myself excluded. |

not expensive. free drinks for djs goes without saying. as for groceries, if we're grillin' like villains the whole time all you have to buy is meat. meh. |

I mean when I play out here, I get a decent stack, but thats not really important... i just dont like to play without any compensation at a commercial venue... annoys me. |

hey, i like gettin paid just as much as any other performer, but it's not about making money, it's about meeting up with other ta's and socializing, as far as i'm concerned. like it was mentioned before, no one should expect to get paid. |

| Eh, I have a week off of work to visit relatives in Canada the last weekend of June and the first couple of days in July. Another block of days is going to be hard to swing for me. We'll see, though. |

oh no i dont mean get paid, i just mean that im a very very very poor college student who needs to save money everywhere he can. half the money from my last gig went to groceries lol :p
im trying to save this money this summer so anywhere i can save a buck is helpful. |

and it still does annoy me to play a commercial venue for no compensation at all. , even if the only compensation is some free drinks, thats cool, im just not proving a service to a business for no compensation.
dont looks at it like i dont like to play for free, i play house parties every weekend for free. it just changes forme when it moves into the commercial sphere, and at this point every little bit counts. |

Expect a PM by mid-May. There's a bunch of stuff happening at my work and depending on how the environment shifts determines whether or not I'll be able to make it. It's a big process I have to go through, and a lot of tough decisions need to be made. |

last year's BBQ was epic, for sho! hopefully we can get a good crew out here for OMGWTFBBQ 2008. :cool:
i'm definitely willing to pick people up from the airport (the airport here is super convenient; very close to downtown and only 20 min away from my place) and let people crash on my living room floor if need be.
i know some of you may not think Milwaukee is the coolest place on earth. yeah, it's no Miami... but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than most big cities, and way more laid back. when we party here it's more about who you're partying with, than where you're partying. we have a good time here (omg_b and company), and we'd love to show more TAs from across the US/Canadia/world/universe a good time! |
